Bacon is a good indicator of how breakfast will be...it was 'very good, but not as good as Kay's'...the coffee was better than Kay's...the banana-macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup were out of this world good (and Kay's doesn't have that). |
We could use another 3 or 4 weeks here. Walking into the hotel ~ anywhere, really ~ is such a great sigh of relaxation and peacefulness.

Beautiful day or night
Before morning prelimes, the bellmen recommended The Kihei Kafe. We took the scenic drive into Kihei and had the best breakfast here ~ it rivals Kay's Country Kitchen in Orcutt back home. Plus, you get a Maui dude (waiter) who honestly makes you feel like you are the #1 customer.
Snorkeling is on our agenda today before we go back for Josh's 200 IM final tonight. We're going to start at a different beach and look for the albino dolphins again, hope to see some sea turtles or mantarays, and have a great time holding hands and watching all the cool colorful fish. Some are really big, some are really fast and zippy, some are as small as a half-dollar coin, and there is a fish that seems to bury itself in the sand on the bottom. I have no idea what that fish is doing, but it looks fun.
